Hartland's Mock Accident Educates Students to 'Make Good Decisions'

A mock accident took place at Hartland High School on Tuesday in an effort to educate students before Prom and Graduation.

Hartland High School will be holding Prom on Friday, May 10.

To help educate students about making good decisions, particularly during Prom and Graduation season, juniors and seniors at Hartland High School witnessed an activity that simulates a car accident involving underage drinking put on by the Hartland Fire Department.

"Through the combined efforts of local police, fire and hospital personnel, the demonstration will simulate the arrest, rescue, and medical transport of injured students and the deaths of others.

"After the demonstration there will be counselors on site for support if necessary and the following two days will provide education and opportunities for parents and students to connect during lunches to help guide students toward making good and safe decisions.
