'Suspicious Man' Arrested After Hartland Schools Lock Down

All Hartland Schools are in "secure mode" due to "suspicious man" in high school parking lot.

The "suspicious man" that prompted Hartland Schools to go into secure mode on Monday has been taken into custody.

According to the Press & Argus, the man was arrested at his Argentine home and is expected to have a medical examination to determine his mental state.

Monday, 11 a.m.

Several Hartland Schools were placed on lock down Monday morning due to a "suspicious person" in the Hartland High School parking lot. 

All Hartland Schools have been placed in "secure mode," according to Hartland Schools Administrative Assistant Paula Waters. 

According to WHMI, Howell Public Schools were also placed on a "precautionary lockdown" due to an unruly individual was attempting to gain access to the Hartland building.

According to a Facebook post from Creekside Elementary, principal Lawrence Pumford told parents that due to the suspicious individual, all external doors have been locked and the school will be having indoor recess.
