Latest Links: 4 Hartland High School Grads Earn All-County Academic Honors

Hartland ties Brighton with most honored by newspaper.

Four 2011 Hartland High School graduates — Kathryn Walicki, Megan Hall, Tyler West and Michaelyn Lux — have been named to an All-County Academic Team and profiled by the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus.

The number ties Hartland with Brighton for the most on the list. The newspaper selects 12 graduating seniors from Livingston County annually based on nominations and a mathematical formula.

Walicki, who was a varsity soccer player, was the last named in a profile Friday. She wants to become a pediatrician and is planning attend Michigan State University this fall, according to the article.

Hall, who graduated summa cum laude, also will attend MSU and aspires to be a anthropology professor, she said in a Monday article.

West, who was the captain of the varsity boys soccer team, earned all A's since kindergarten, a June 16 article reported. He is planning a career in medicine and is headed to the University of Pittsburgh this fall, the article said.
