Scholarship Information for Graduating Seniors

A list of local and regional scholarships for graduating Brighton and Hartland high school seniors.

It's that time of year again where high school seniors are starting to think about the end of the year and preparing for things like Prom, final exams and graduation.

It's also the time to start planning and preparing for the next step of their education by applying for college scholarships.

Below is a list of local and regional scholarships available for graduating seniors.

Brighton Masons

  • Deadline: March 23
  • Amount: Unknown
  • Qualifications: Letter of recommendation, ACT/SAT results, official high school transcripts, goal statement, and completed application.

Hartland Women's Club Scholarship

  • Deadline: March 31
  • Amount: $1,000
  • Qualifications: Open to seniors (male and female) who are pursuing post-secondary education. Requires an essay (focusing on community service and leadership), a detailed listing of community service, church activities, jobs, athletics and extracurricular activities.

Norma Gray College Scholarship for the Visual Arts

  • Deadline: April 14
  • Amount: Varies
  • Qualifications: All college undergraduate and graduate students ages 17-25 who are residents of the state of Michigan (or their parents are residents) are eligible. 

Pinkney Players Scholarship of the Arts

  • Deadline: April 1
  • Amount: $500
  • Qualifications: High school senior planning to attend a Michigan college/university full-time with a major or minor in theatre. Minimum GPA 2.75, 2 letters of recommendation, 100 word essay.

Encore Youth Theater Scholarship

  • Deadline: May 6
  • Amount: Up to $500
  • Qualifications: Graduating senior, past or current member of Encore Youth Theater.

Kohl's Cares Scholarship

  • Deadline: March 15
  • Amount: $50- $10,000
  • Qualifications: Persons between 6-18 years old who have not graduated from high school, community service/volunteer. Candidates are required to be nominated.

Quest Bridge College Prep Scholarship

  • Deadline: March 27
  • Amount: Unknown
  • Qualifications: High school juniors who have shown outstanding academic ability despite facing economic challenges. 

Baker College Scholarship

  • Deadline: May 1
  • Amount: Varies
  • Qualifications: High school seniors planning to attend Baker College. 

Community Foundation: Jeptha Wade Schureman Scholarship

  • Deadline: June 3
  • Amount: $7,500
  • Qualifications: Student who has lost their father because of death or loss of parental rights.
