Outcome of Hartland School Board Closed Session Will be Released May 1

The acceptance or rejection of case evaluations must be kept confidential for 28 days, according to Hartland Consolidated Schools Superintendent Janet Sifferman

A closed session occurred during Monday’s nights Hartland Board of Education meeting to discuss a possible settlement with former principal Tracey Sahouri.

The outcome of the meeting will not be known until May 1, however, due to the fact case evaluations must be kept confidential for 28 days, according to Hartland Superintendent Janet Sifferman.

“The record of acceptance or rejection of case evaluations is to be kept confidential for 28 days after the actual evaluation,” she said.

As Hartland Patch previously reported, Sahouri, former principal of Creekside Elementary School and former vice principal of Hartland High School, is suing the Hartland Consolidated Schools district over circumstances involving her reassignment as a study-skills and special-education teacher.

She could receive $525,000 in a proposed settlement of her lawsuit against the district. As previously reported, Sahouri and the district have until the end of April to agree to the deal.
