Two Hartland Schools Close Monday Due to Power Outages
Lakes Elementary and Farms Intermediate are closed Monday, Nov. 18 for power outages.
High winds that knocked out power to thousands in the Hartland area Sunday evening closed two Hartland school buildings Monday.
Students at Lakes Elementary and Farms Intermediate have the day off.
More than 392,000 DTE customers across metro Detroit, including 5,796 in the 48843 zip code and 3,918 in the 48114 zip code, lost power in the wake of high winds and a strong storm that blew through southeast Michigan.
DTE encourages customers to report downed power lines and power outages through its mobile website, or online at dteenergy.com, or by using the DTE Energy Outage Center app on their iPhone or Android phone, or by calling 800-477-4747.
