'Birdie Day' Gathers Turkeys for Those in Need

One more round of golf before the season ends! Gleaners Community Food Bank will gather Thanksgiving turkeys for your neighbors in need.

Show up with your turkeys and get ready to play ... it's "Birdie Day"!

Invite your friends to share a free round of golf! Just bring a 15 lb. or larger frozen turkey or a $25 donation per golfer to your nearest participating golf course.

To sign up, just call one of the participating golf courses listed below to schedule a tee-time  for the Sunday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 20.

The Majestic also is hosting a turkey dinner during from noon to 2:30 p.m. for nongolfers; suggested donation for dinner is $10 with proceeds to benefit a local family in need.

‘Birdie Day’ frozen turkeys and cash donations are welcome at any of the participating golf courses or anytime at Gleaners Community Food Bank, Livingston, located at 5924 Sterling Drive, Howell, MI 48843.
