Freshman Golf Team Wins Tournament

Hartland's young golfers win the Saline Freshman Invitational with a score of 333.

Hartland took five freshman to the annual Saline Freshman Invitational and won the tournament by 22 shots, according to coach Nathan Oake. The five-person team won with a score of 333 on Friday.

The Clarkston golf team came in second place with a score of 355.

Hartland also had the co-Medalists in the tournament with Bryce Messner and Beau Breault each shooting 82 for the low scores of the day.

The tie was broken via a scorecard playoff with Messner being honored as the eventual medalist and Breault taking second place.

Hartland's John Nagel finished third with 84, and Baker Stevenson finished 5th with 85. Mickey Feeny's score of 90 was good for 13th place overall in the 13 team, 65 player event.
