WRESTLING — Hartland won a pair of matches Wednesday over Milford and Pinckney, according to results on Michigan Grappler.

Six Eagles had pins in the win over 60-12 win over Milford: Jacob Gorial (119), Austin Eicher (125), Marcus Lopez (135), Mitchel Thomas (160), Matt Ostermiller (189) and Matt Iceberg (285).

Hartland also collected six pins in its 64-9 victory over Pinckney: Eric Lundwall (103), Nate Hughes (112), Gorial, Justin Rollins (130), Lopez and Anthony Colianne (140).

The Eagles, now 12-1 on the season, next wrestle in a tournament 9 a.m. at Lowell.

Tuesday

GIRLS BASKETBALL — Hartland stayed unbeaten in its division Tuesday with a 64-26 drubbing of Pinckney at home, according to the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus.

Bailee Maggert scored 14 for Hartland while Mallory Slavin netted 12 and Lindsey Pajot had 10, the article said.

The Eagles, now 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association West Division, host Milford at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

BOYS BASKETBALL — Hartland's struggles continue with a 56-26 loss Tuesday at Pinckney, according to the Kensington Lakes Activities Association.

Leading the Eagles was Ian Whitehead and Brandon Gigliotti, who each scored four points to lead Hartland (0-6, 0-2 KLAA West), according to an article in the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus article said.

Hartland, now 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the KLAA West, host Milford 7 p.m. Friday.

CHARYL STOCKWELL GIRLS BASKETBALL — CSPA defeated Ann Arbor Christ King 29-19, according to an article in the Livingston Daily Press & Argus.

The Sentinels are now 4-1.

Monday

BOYS AND GIRLS SKIING — The girls team scored wins over Ladywood and West Bloomfield to open the season while the boys lost to Orchard Lake St. Mary's and West Bloomfield in races on Tuesday at Alpine Valley, according to Hartland coach Glenn Makin.

Mallory Reader led the girls by finishing first in both contests as Hartland won 10-35 over Ladywood and 11-28 against West Bloomfield. Reader's time against Ladywood was a 21.52 in the slalom run and an 19.05 in the giant slalom for a combined time was 40.57 seconds.

She was slightly faster against West Bloomfield with a 40.54 (SR 21.52, GS 19.02).

The boys lost 11-30 to Orchard Lake St. Mary's and 12-27 to West Bloomfield.

Leading the way for boys was Cameron Wheeler, who was fourth overall against Orchard Lake with a combined time of 43.07 seconds (SL 23.19, GS 19.88). Wheeler also was fourth against West Bloomfield with a combined time of 42.97 seconds (SL 23.07, GS 19.90).

Other Hartland finishing times were:

  • GIRLS AGAINST LADYWOOD — Rhianna Dilworth of Hartand finished second with a combined time of 43.13 (SL 23.15, GS 19.98). Carly Nylander finished in third place with a combined time of 49.37 (SL 26.09, GS 23.28) while Jessica Schnabel took fourth place place with a combined time of 49.47 ( SL 26.96, GS 22.51).  
  • GIRLS AGAINST WEST BLOOMFIELD — Dilworth took second with a combined time of 42.53 (SL 22.77, GS 19.76). Haley David finished in third with a combined time of 45.35 (SL 24.57, GS 20.78). Schnabel grabbed fifth with a combined time of 48.93 (SL 27.51, GS 21.42).
  • BOYS AGAINST ORCHARD LAKE — Grant Comly finished seventh with a combined time of 44.97 (GS 20.34, SL 24.63). Joe Haig took eighth place with combined times of 47.74 (GS 21.55, SL 26.19). Blake Fishwick was 11th place with a combined time of 52.57 (GS 23.14, SL 29.43).
  • BOYS AGAINST WEST BLOOMFILED — Comly grabbed fifth with a combined time of 44.07 (GS 19.93, SL 24.14). Dan Aberasturi took in eighth place with combined time of 46.42 (GS 19.92, SL 26.50). Carter Janssen finished in 10th place with a combined time of 49.86 (GS 24.26, SL 25.60).  

Both teams — girls (2-0) and boys (0-2) — next race 5 p.m. Thursday against Novi and Brother Rice (boys)/Marian (girls) at Alpine Valley.

BOARDERCROSS — Hartland's girls and boys teams was first combined while taking seconds in their divisions, according to the team's Facebook page, which also includes complete results.
