Hartland Cheer in Hot Pursuit of State Title Once Again

The competition will be televised live on mhsaa.tv and foxsportsdetroit.com.

The Hartland Varsity Cheer team, KLAA champion since 2009, is looking to add state champion to its long list of accomplishments.

The team competes in Grand Rapids this evening with the hopes of claiming the state title, one it has earned twice before in 1987 and 1991. The team has been a state qualifier fourteen times since 1986 and has been a state finalists eight times. 

The state competition takes place at the Delta Plex starting at 6 p.m. and will be televised live on mhsaa.tv and foxsportsdetroit.com.

The team is coached by former Hartland cheerleader  and includes:

Seniors: Natalie Bauer, Jessica Gust, Colleen McGrath, Caitlyn Peca and Courtney Thompson

Juniors: Katie Manley, Nicole Oliverio, Katherine Putz, Carolyn Ventura and Brooke Williams

Sophmores: Olivia Eiden, Kristina Hollis, Adrian Martino, Erin Muszynski, Rachel Pardun, Gabi Ratcliff, Carly Schulte, Carli Suiter, Devyn Suiter and Shay Viviano

Freshman: Amanda Colquitt, Madison FT, Sam Gregory, Ashley Luoma, Carly Peca, Jenna Seychel and Shelby Snider
