Hartland Cheer Team Heads to State Finals Friday

The high school's competitive cheer team will try to win the top title.

The Hartland High School competitive cheerleading team is once again headed to the state finals.

Hartland will compete in the Division 1 finals Friday beginning at 6 p.m. in Grand Rapids.

Other teams competing are East Kentwood, Grandville, Hudsonville, Rochester, Rochester Hills Stoney Creek, Southgate Anderson, and Sterling Heights Stevenson.

According to the MHSAA website, Hartland will be perfroming third in Round 1, eighth in Round 2 and fifth in Round 3.

Fans will be able to view the competition live online at MHSAA.tv. Videos will also be archived online for later viewing.

The cheer team came in fourth place at the finals in 2012.
