Homecoming Comeback Falls Short, Hartland Loses 49-33

Seniors Michael Anderson and Kaitlyn Wheeler were crowned the 2013 Homecoming kind and queen.

In what is becoming a tradition for Hartland, for the third straight year, rain tried to dampen the spirits of the Homecoming festivities.

While severe weather delayed the game against Brighton, the fans still came out to support the team and the Homecoming court.

Seniors Michael Anderson and Kaitlyn Wheeler were crowned the 2013 Homecoming kind and queen.

Down 35-7 at halftime, Hartland fought its way back after two weather delays to put 33 points on the board during the Homecoming game against the Bulldogs on Friday night.

Unfortunately, the magic of Homecoming just wasn't enough and Brighton went on to win 49-33, according to the Hartland football website.

Hartland travels to Grand Blanc (5-1) next week Friday, Oct. 11. Grand Blanc beat Brighton two weeks ago, 44-21.
