This Saturday at the Fenton Relays the eagles were firing on all cylinders. The tone was set right away with a winning performance from our divers Paige Race and Madison Pietila.

Then it was time to take the blocks and the eagles flew fast and strong with a record breaking performance in the 400 medley relay with Alex Nelson at the lead, Dana Stroven, Melanie Hunroe and Audrey Regan extended the lead with top performances breaking the relay record that has stood since 1993.  Our backstrokers came back in event two with another win.

Grand Blanc and Brighton were battling in the middle of the meet and were getting dangerously close to the lead Hartland had built. Then in event 8 our breaststroke team of Sara Condra, Morgan Culver, Greta Stroven and Dana Stroven put the Eagles firmly back in lead with a first place finish.

Brighton and Grand Blanc weren't giving in without a fight bringing the meet down to the final event. But the Eagles held strong to secure the win.

There were many great surprises and our girls really stepped up with gutsy performances and top times for swimmers, Jordan McKaig, Megan Wencel, Rachel Dubuque, Emmerson Holihan, Margaret Nied, Amy Parks, Madison Malkowski, Sarah Allen, Emma Allen, Kylie Carrothers, Julia Sedmak, Lauren Colone, Allison Pouliot, Julia Martin, Allie Darish and Kelsey Pietila. With a tough schedule ahead of the Eagles this season, the balance of our team were very close to their top performances which is very encouraging.

Their next home meet is this Thursday, September 12. The Eagles invite you to come out, watch some great races and cheer on our girls.
