Hartland Hurricanes Swim Club swimmers brought home four first place swims in the USA Swimming district meet in Waterford on February 24 and 25.
Championship swims were turned in by Sofia Vasley (10 & under) 100 backstroke, Melanie Hunroe (11/12 girls) 50 free and 200 free, Mackenzie Robinson (11/12 girls) 100 breaststroke and Audrey Regan (13-18 girls) 500 free.
Twenty-nine Hurricanes placed in the top ten in their events. Along with twelve swimmers that qualified for the Junior Olympics. The Hurricanes also have five swimmers currently qualified for the State meet. Many more of our swimmers are close to their state times and hope to qualify for states.

The biggest drop for boys was nabbed by Cameron Roach (10 & under) who dropped 14.89 from his 100 backstroke. Rachel Dubuque (11/12 girls) dropped 15.78 seconds from her 50 breaststroke.
