Whether it's sports, science, engineering or music, many colleges and universities across the state and out of state offer summer programs students of all ages.

Calvin College

  • Program for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Offers a chance to live on campus and earn college credit.

Cranbrook Art Institute

  • Offers summer art program to students ages 14-18.

Eastern Michigan University

  • Explore Eastern offered March 23, 2013 as well as October of 2013.  Here you can apply free of charge.

Hillsdale College

  • Three summer programs offered, all of which offer college credit; The Roots and History of American Liberty, available to Juniors and Seniors.  High School Study Abroad; Juniors and Seniors. Summer Science Camps; Sophomores and Juniors.

Kettering University 

  • LITE is a summer program offered to female seniors who are interested in engineering.

Lake Superior State University

  • Offers 15 summer programs in Science, Sports and Engineering. 

Michigan State University

  • Too many programs to list.  Programs offered to students starting in Kindergarten up to High School Seniors. 

Northern Michigan University 

  • The first link is for all summer programs offered for students Kindergarten through 12th grade. The second link is for merit based Juniors and Seniors looking to earn college credit.

Oakland University

  • Offers many different summer programs in many different fields. 

University of Detroit Mercy

  • Another School that offers more programs than we can list on here.  Study areas include, architecture, art, music, sports, business, community, language, math, engineering, and science.

Western Michigan University 

  • Music camp offered to all High School students.

Boston University

  • Four programs offered; High School Honors offers a chance to earn eight college credits to Juniors and Seniors. Research Internship in Science & Engineering; available to Seniors. Summer Challenge; Two week non credit seminars offered to Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors. Summer Preview; Available to freshmen and sophomores who want to experience college life. 

Brown University

  • This prestigious university offers 11 different programs for High School Students, many of which offer credit towards college.

Columbia University in New York

  • Another prestigious University that offers courses for high school students giving them a chance to earn college credit.

Purdue University

  • WIEP is a free program offered to female juniors interested in engineering.

Stanford University

  • Offers 24 different programs to high school students.
