Photo Gallery: Second Annual Cardboard Regatta

The sponsored by the saw some close races and some spectacular sinkings on Saturday at .

Ten homemade boats, using only cardboard materials took to the water, racing through the course while trying to stay afloat.

Most of the entries were able to make it to the finish line with only one boat, Origami Canoe, sinking. 

The day ended with a Pirates Derby where only one boat was left standing.

Race winners included:

• First place: Bad Kitty
• Second Place: Swamp People
• Third Place: Trusty Choice II

Pride of the Fleet Award:

• Swamp People

The Pirates Derby:

• Hockey Town

Most Spectacular Sinking:

• Big Cheese

The day also included raffle drawings, a car show and bounce houses for the kids. All proceeds from the event will benefit several organizations including Gleaners, literacy programs and the eradication of polio.
