Photo Gallery: OLSHA Walk for Warmth
Walkers raised over $25,000 during the Walk for Warmth event in Hartland.
On Saturday, the halls of the were filled with hundreds of walkers supporting the annual event, "Walk for Warmth" sponsored by the Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency.
Music, food, balloons and face painting was provided for fun and entertainment for the walkers who came to raise money for deserving families.
"Walkers at today's Walk for Warmth event in Howell donated over $25,000, all of which will go to help Livingston County residents in need keep their heat on," Lindsey Walenga, Associate Director for Public Relations wrote in an email to Patch. "Donations are still coming in, and will over the next couple weeks as we strive to reach our combined-county goal of $180,000."

The was also honored at this year's event with the Team of the Year award. OLSHA and several state representatives were on hand to presented awards to Hartland school teacher, Nicole Conley and the 48 members of her club who came to participate. The Hartland Junior Optimist Club raised $1625 for the event.
