The Relay For Life Hartland Committee and the American Cancer Society, humbly thank Hartland and surrounding communities for there open-arms and generosity in supporting the 2012 Relay For Life Hartland. With the continuous support of the Hartland Consolidated School District, we were able to match, and surpass our 2011 total (actual monies donated still being calculated). The community schools, businesses, township staff, clubs, social groups, countless volunteers and individuals joined forces to raise awareness and monies to CELEBRATE our survivors and caregivers ..REMEMBER those who have lost their courageous battles, and learn how to FIGHT BACK against cancer. The website cancer.org and 1-800-227-2345, offer valuable information for everyone impacted by cancer, including prevention and support materials. The current "Relay season" ends 8-31-12, and donations can be still be made to the 2012 campaign at relayforlife.org/hartlandmi. Comments about the 2012 RFL and/or questions for involving your group, team or volunteering in 2013, can be directed to myself, Laura Hearn, RFL Event Chairperson 2012-2013 at la.hearn12@yahoo.com. Again, I thank you for your interest and participation. The intent of ACS and RFL is to celebrate more birthdays, and create a world where no one has to hear the diagnosis, "You have cancer." Check the RFL website after 9-1-12, for RFL Hartland 2013 details.
