Best New Year’s Gym Deals Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are four tips to help fuel your week in Hartland.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Hartland to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. In case you missed it

Whether you made a promise to lose 10 pounds, run a half marathon or get back to your pre-baby weight, follow through by signing up for a gym membership.

2. For your information
Recognizing the increasing high costs of attending college, the MSU alumni Club of Livingston County offers an annual scholarship of $1000 to high school seniors residing in Livingston County. The funds are to be used for the purchase of textbooks, reading material, course packets, pamphlets, or other resource material required for the student’s courses while attending Michigan State University. The scholarships will be presented at the Club’s Freshman Picnic in August.

3. For the kids
Come join Coach Jellison for another night of 3D archery and some new and exciting opportunities. Thursday, January 23 either 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. $10 per person. Ages: 4th grade through adult are welcome to participate. Space is limited, so don't delay in sending in your registration. Download / print the flyer from hartland.patch.com.

4. At the library
On Jan. 7, meet in the community room at Cromaine Library from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the adult fiction book club. Group will be discussing Elizabeth Street by Laurie Fabiano.

*Please note: Cromaine Library will be closed on Jan. 6 due to weather conditions and will re-open on Tues. Jan. 7.
