Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are some events you should know about in the Hartland area.

1. The River Church Performs 'Twas the Night' 

  • When: Dec. 22 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., Dec. 23 at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. (no children’s program at the 7 p.m. Adult Experience, but there is childcare for infants- 5yrs, Dec. 24 at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Where: Hartland Educational Support Service Center
  • What: The River presents “Twas the Night,” which highlights Christmas traditions in a contemporary way. Through live performances of classic holiday tunes and a 1940’s style radio show, the audience can share in the nostalgic holiday spirit. There will also be an encouraging message, a story of traditions passed down through the generations and a candle lighting.  
2. Holiday Open Swims
  • When: Starts Dec. 20, time and days vary. Check pool for details.
  • Where: Hartland Pool
  • What: $5 per person, children under 3 free, children under 5 and non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the water.  For more information call (810) 626-2279.
3. Craft & Vendor Holiday Bazaar
  • When: Dec. 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Where: Heart of the Shepherd Lutheran Church in Howell.
    What: Shop over 50 exhibitors from Home Décor, pet gifts and bath & body to quality handmade treasures. Proceeds benefit church youth.
4.  Saint Patrick School Christmas Tree Sale
  • When: Dec. 22 starting at 10 a.m.
  • Where: Parking lot of the Saint Patrick School in Brighton.
  • What: Last day to get beautiful fresh-cut Michigan Christmas trees! Fraser firs, pines and spruces. Free hot chocolate, doughnuts and cookies. All proceeds go to the students of Saint Patrick School.
