Autumn Woods is a 140-home subdivision off the south side of M-59, about 1.5 miles west of Old U.S. 23 in Hartland Township. The community, which is in the Hartland School District, was completed in 2005 and its homes are 2,000 square feet or larger. It features private roads, ponds, a walking trail and wooded areas. It is managed by a homeowner-elected neighborhood association board, which oversees collective services, such as snow and ice removal in the winter and a weekly consolidated garbage/recycling and yard waste collection. The association also typically organizes events, such as an annual Halloween costume parade.
