36-year-old Man in Serious Condition After Suspected Hit and Run in Pinckney

Jeffrey Coffelt was found in the eastbound lane of Patterson Lake Road early this morning.

A 36-year-old man was found lying in the eastbound lane of Patterson Lake Road in Pinckney early this morning after being struck by an unknown driver, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.  Police say they received a call at approximately 1 a.m. on Sept. 13 and after arriving on scene found Jeffrey Coffelt in the road, approximately 200 feet east of Cedar Lake Road. Coffelt, who had been walking home after leaving the Damn Site Inn, according to the report, suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle and was transported to the University of Michigan hospital where he is listed in serious condition. White Lake Man Dies After Being Ejected from Motorcycle in Hartland

Christopher Muncy, 53, died on scene after being hit by several cars on U.S. 23, police say.

A 53-year-old White Lake man died at the scene of a traffic crash Wednesday after he lost control his motorcycle and was ejected into traffic, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. Police say that Christopher Muncy was driving his 2006 Honda motorcycle on U.S. 23, just north of Crouse Road in Hartland, around 10 p.m. on Sept. 12 when he lost control of the motorcycle and was hit by several cars in the left lane of southbound U.S. 23, according to the report. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The first vehicle that struck Muncy initially stopped, according to the report, but left prior to emergency vehicles arriving on scene.  Police are asking for help identifying the missing vehicle which based …

Three Dead After Accident on I-96

Fatal crash on Sunday shut down westbound I-96 for four hours.

Three people died after a multiple vehicle crash, that shut down westbound I-96 for approximately four hours Sunday evening, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s department. According to the report, at approximately 5:20 p.m. Sunday, George Tissen, 54, from Fowlerville crossed the median while driving eastbound on I-96 in Howell striking a 2007 Ford Taurus driven by Legrand Bloomstine, 57, from Wyoming, Mich. Tissen was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, while Bloomstine was transported to University of Michigan Hospital where he was last listed in serious condition. Police: 1-Year-Old Injured After Drunk Fenton Woman Crashes Vehicle

Teddyjo Fliam and her two children were transported to University of Michigan Hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries.

A 22-year-old female driver and her one-year old daughter were ejected from their car during a roll over crash on Friday night, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s office.  According to the report, police arrived on scene to find Teddyjo Fliam of Fenton and her daughter thrown from their 1997 Toyota Four Runner.  Police say that Fliam’s one-year old daughter was thrown from the vehicle due to her not being properly restrained in her car seat. Fliam’s 4-year-old son, however, was still in the car when police arrived, due to his seat belt.  Witnesses told police that Fliam ran a stop sign at Old U.S. 23 and then continued driving westbound on Center Road where she crossed the centerline. Update: Semi Overturns on M-14 Spilling Unknown Liquid

HAZMAT is on scene, driver transported to University of Michigan hospital.

Updated on Friday at 6 p.m. Sgt. Mark Thompson of the Michigan State police is reporting that southbound U.S. 23 to westbound M-14 is now open. Westbound M-14 is still closed with traffic being routed to northbound U.S. 23. HAZMAT is still on the scene, according to the report, with westbound M-14 expected to be closed for another 2 more hours. Updated on Friday at 1 p.m. Sgt. Mark Thompson of the Michigan State police is reporting that an employee of a tow truck company has been transported to the University of Michigan hospital after being physically exposed to the acid product that is leaking from an overturned semi on M-14. Motorcycle Riders Airlifted to University of Michigan After Striking Minivan

Two riders from Howell weren't wearing helmets and were both critically injured in July 4 crash.

Two Howell residents were seriously injured when their motorcycle struck a minivan on July 4, according to a report from the Michigan State Police, Brighton Post. Witnesses reported that the accident occured when the motorcycle attempted to pass the minivan which was attempting to turn into a private drive on North Territorial Road in Lyndon Township in Washtenaw County . The minivan was occupied by six college interns from the University of Michigan who did not report any injuries, according to the report. The two motorcycle riders, neither of whom were wearing helmets, received critical injuries, according to the report and were air lifted to University of Michigan hospital.
