Black Sheep Weavers Offer Holiday Wares
Fiber guild's 28th Annual Holiday Sale continues Hartland's storied craft tradition Friday and Saturday.
The variety of goods at the Black Sheep Weavers Fiber Guild's 28th Annual Holiday Sale keeps evolving in part thanks to competition. In order for their work to get into the show — which is Friday and Saturday — members must make something original or revive a traditional method, with a twist, that relates to fiber. "It's an art form, as opposed to just a craft," said Nadine Cloutier, the group's treasurer. "Members work all year on these things. They're pleased to put them out there and being able to exhibit is a validation of their work. "Basically, to get something into the show, there has to be some aspect of fiber to it.
