The Hartland High School wrestling team continued its impressive start to the season by dominating a tournament it hosted at the high school Saturday, taking first place out of 13 teams, including beating Division 3's third-ranked Lake Fenton, and placing 11 out of 14 wrestlers. The team finished with five champions: freshman Nate Hughes at 103 pounds, freshman Austin Eicher at 112, senior Chase Snider at 145, senior John Julien at 152 and junior Brian Braun at 285. Those who placed second include: senior Ross Kantola (125), sophomore Mitchel Thomas (140), junior Matt Ostermiller (189), and senior Nick Long (215). The Hartland Swim Team showed its potential Saturday at the Annual Fenton Tiger Relays, with the blue team taking first for the second year in a row and the gold team taking eighth out of 13 teams. The blue team finished first in six events, including the 400 medley relay, 200 backstroke relay, 800 freestyle relay, 200 breaststroke relay, 400 freestyle relay, and the 400 IM relay. It finished second in the 850 crescendo relay, 200 butterfly relay, and 200 medley relay and third in the 200 freestyle relay, contributing to a team total of 374 points.
