On behalf of the Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce membership, we are proud to announce that we will once again present a $1,000.00 scholarship to a high school senior who resides in the Hartland Consolidated School District. The applicant can be from a public, private, charter, and/or home school setting. Our winner will demonstrate the kind of character and qualities the Chamber seeks to propagate in our community. In selecting the winner, the Chamber looks for an individual who demonstrates leadership, has been a good student throughout his or her academic career, and who places a value on community service and personal growth. The local garden center is also a "one-stop" shop for holiday shopping.
When Deneweth’s Garden Center opened their doors in Hartland a year and a half ago, the store was already in the process of transforming their M-59 location into a vibrant and colorful garden center. Their efforts, hard work and variety of products have not gone unnoticed within the community, according to Hartland Chamber Executive Director Jana Waford, who recently awarded the business with the “Best New Business of 2012” award from the Hartland Chamber of Commerce. “They really have a lot to offer,” Wardford said. “And they’re a great new business and they really contribute to the chamber.” Excited by the award, store manager Tracy DeNise was thankful for the recognition of the hard work of the entire staff and the community’s response…

Updated Aug. 15: Due to weather, the Hartland Chamber golf outing has been re-scheulded for Sept. 20 at Dunham Hills. Conact Jana Warford at the Hartland Chamber to register or for more information. The Hartland Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their 16th annual golf outing Thursday, Aug. 9 at Dunham Hills Golf Course. The event will feature 18-holes of golf in a four-person scramble format and is the primary fundraiser for the chamber, according to executive director Jana Warford.
