Hartland Wrestling Takes Second at Tough Holland Tournament

The Eagles beat four teams, including two ranked to take second.

Hartland High School's wrestling team continues to impress with its young team capturing second at the Holland Team Tournament on Saturday, beating two ranked teams before losing in the final to St. Johns. The Eagles, ranked No. 4 in Division 1, beat Hudsonville in first round 44-23; Division 2 No. 10-ranked Sparta in the second round 39-31; Zeeland East in the third round 78-3; and Division 1 No. 6-ranked Temperance Bedford in the semifinals 36-33. They lost to Division 2 top-ranked St. Johns in the finals 55-12. The tournament included 16 total teams, of which seven are ranked.
