Iggy's Only Wish: A Forever Home for the Holidays

A Chow Chow/Schipperke Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello, my name is Iggy. I am a 1 1/2 year old Chow and Schipperke mix who was an owner surrender. My owner gave me up due to having to suddenly move to handle a family emergency and I wasn't allowed to go. I am completely house trained and know basic commands. I love to play fetch and I'd be a great running or jogging companion for someone. I should be the only male dog in my home. I seem to ignore cats. Because of my nervousness around some people, it's recommended that I go to a home without small kids. I act more timid around males than females but do warm up.

Sparky Wants a Home for the Holidays

A Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, my name is Sparky. I'm a 2 1/2 year old Jack Russel and Chihuahua mix. I weigh less than 20 pounds and have energy like the Energizer bunny! I would be best with older kids only because I am overly eager to grab treats from hands and may accidentally nip a young child. I do well with other dogs and seem afraid of cats. I was transferred from another shelter where I was turned in as a stray. It's unknown if I'm house trained. I should be crated when left alone to keep me out of trouble. My favorite thing to do is to play fetch so I hope my new family likes to play, too!

Energetic Ranger Looking for a Forever Home

An English Pointer is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello everyone! My name is Ranger! I'm a 3-year-old purebred Pointer. I'm quite the handsome guy if I do say so myself. I am a former stray who was never claimed by anyone. I was then transferred to the HSLC shelter where I was adopted into a home with several other dogs. I did well in one-on-one situations but once all of us were out playing, I got a little too agitated and started some fights. I don't seem to read dog language too well sometimes. I am an active, high-energy dog that will need daily exercise. In fact, I'd be a great running or jogging companion! I am partially house trained but will need some help in my new home.

Baby Bailey is Looking for a Second Chance

A Yellow Labrador Retriever Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, my name is Bailey. I'm a 9 month old Yellow Lab mix who is very friendly! I was given up because my owner went away to college. I am house trained and have excellent manners. I know basic commands and love to go for walks! I've been trained to use an invisible fence when outdoors, too! I will make an excellent family pet and am anxious to meet you!

Chloe the Lovebug is Looking to Share Some Affection

A Whippet mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, my name is Chloe. I am a 3-year-old mixed breed who looks like I'm probably Whippet and Lab mix. I was given up when my owner moved. I am a medium-sized girl who is a complete lovebug! I love to give kisses on the face but will stop when asked. I am well-mannered in a home and completely house trained. I will chase cats and other small animals and should have a fenced yard when outdoors. I'm quite active and would make an excellent running or jogging companion. I've been around children over the age of 8 years and do well.

Pretty Stardust is a Great Companion for an Active Person

A Husky/Labrador Retriever Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

My name is Stardust. I am a very pretty, unique-looking Husky Lab/Retriever mix who has one blue eye and one brown eye. I'm about 3-years-old, and weigh about 62 pounds. I am a constant runner and also like to go over fences. So, keeping me safe at home is going to be priority one. I am energetic and playful with children, but don't do so well with other dogs, so I need to be the only dog in my next home. I'm a little too playful with cats, too, so it is best if I am the only pet. I am house trained, know commands and just a REALLY FUN DOG! I'd be a great companion for an active person who's a jogger or runner.

Geronimo: The Tail of a Lab with a Big Name

A male Chocolate Labrador Retriever is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, my name is Geronimo. I'm a former stray that was never claimed. I am estimated to have been born around Feb. 14, 2010. I weigh about 73 pounds. Because I was a stray, the staff doesn't know if I've ever lived with other animals or kids. I'm a high-energy sort of dog that would be great for an active person or family. I'm good with some dogs and there are some I don't seem to like. The staff says it seems like I'm house trained but I may need some reminders. Won't you take me home?

BooBoo Needs Love and Attention

A Husky is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

My name is BooBoo. I'm an adult Husky that was born around March 2009. I currently weigh about 50 pounds but am on the thin side so I may will fill out a bit more. I'm completely house trained and also have good house manners. I can get along with most other dogs that are similar in size but may chase smaller dogs or other small animals. I am sometimes a little nervous with men at first but then do warm up and I love attention! I would be a fine match for a home with kids who are used to a dog. I should have a fence because my breed is known for being runners.

Roscoe: A Fun-Loving Playmate for Kids and Other Dogs

A Beagle/Brittany mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, my name is Roscoe. I'm a 4 1/2 year old Beagle and Brittany mix. I was given up because I was left outdoors and barked all the time. I was lonely and just trying to get someone to pay attention to me. If I had been allowed to be inside with my family, then I would have been happy. I'm an active and playful sort of dog that is good with cats and kids. I love to go for car rides, too! I will run if not confined so I must have a fenced yard or other form of containment for outdoors. I do well with other dogs but may play too rough with cats.

Playful Marcus is Looking for Some Action in a New Home

A Chocolate Labrador Retriever is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hi, I'm Marcus! I'm a handsome Chocolate Lab who was born around 2007 and  I weigh about 68.5 pounds. I was transferred from an animal control facility up North. I arrived there as a stray wearing a flea collar and no other identification. It's unknown if I've ever been around other animals or kids. I am somewhat dominant with other dogs so I'd need to meet one another before going home with another dog. I'm a playful and fun guy and am hoping for an active owner!
