An Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.
Hi, my name is Tiny. That's an odd name for a dog that weighs about 56 pounds! I was born around 2008. I was surrendered because I did not get along with the 3-year-old twins in my home. My original owner passed away and I was taken in by a family member with children. I am not used to being around rambunctious kids who sometimes teased me. I am a happy, happy boy who loves everyone I meet! I have lived with a cat and did fine. I haven't lived with another dog so I would need to meet any new prospective canine siblings before going home with them. I'm well mannered and completely house trained! If placed with children, they will definitely need to respectful towards animals and also on the older side.

Hello, my name is Satin. I'm a sleek black cat whose fur is soft to the touch like satin. That's how I got my name. I'm estimated to have been born around 2009. I've lived with other animals and also do well with kids. I arrived at the shelter after my owner passed away and no one would take me.

A Border Collie/Spaniel Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.
Hi, my name is Mayzie. I'm a pretty mixed breed who was born around May 2012. I weigh under 50 pounds. I seem to be house trained but do need to learn some basic commands. I'm a high-energy dog who can sometimes play a bit rough. Because of that the staff recommends no small kids. I also will sometimes growl when eating so please keep that in mind before adopting me. I should be adopted by a person who's willing to work a bit with me on some manners and training. I like some dogs but not others so, if you have a dog at home, they'll have to come meet me here at the shelter! I don't mind cats at all and may even try to get them to play!

A Siamese cat is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.
Hello, my name is Felix. You'd think with a name like that, I'd be a male but I am a female! I was born around June 2008. My owner had to give me up due to someone being allergic to me and also that I do not like other animals. I've never been around children so it's unknown if I would do well with them in a home. I can be affectionate and playful in a home situation but here at the shelter I'm unhappy and stressed. I have an extreme sensitivity to vaccines and anesthesia so adopters should know this up front. I'm playful and love to chaser the laser pointer!

A Labrador Retriever Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.
Hi, my name is Tanger. I am a former stray who earned the name Tanger because I was found near the outlet mall. It's estimated that I was born sometime in 2009. I weigh just over 56 pounds. I'm a pretty laid back dog who would likely do well in a home with kids and other animals. I am an escape artist here and had to be extra-secured into my kennel to keep me in. Sometimes I'm a bit shy when I first meet people.

Hi, my name is Petunia. I'm as pretty as the flower after which I was named, too. It's estimated that I was born around 2008. When I was left at the shelter, my fur was so badly matted that I had to be shaved. My fur will grow back. I am a sweet girl who would likely get along with other animals and children in a new home.

A Labrador Retriever Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.
Hi, my name is Shiera. I'm a very friendly, affectionate female Lab mix born in 2008. I am typically quiet, but can also be quite active and playful. I have been around kids of all ages and do great! I get along with some dogs, but probably would not be good with small dogs or cats in the home. I am completely house trained and walk nicely on a leash too. I was happy in my previous home, but my family gave me up because I had some food allergies they could not afford to care for properly. Thankfully, after receiving some extra care here at the Humane Society, my itchy skin has cleared up now. I've also been receiving heartworm treatments at the shelter and doing very well, so I'm hoping to get back to a full, active life again soon. If I …

A Chow Chow/Schipperke Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.
Hello, my name is Iggy. I am a 1 1/2 year old Chow and Schipperke mix who was an owner surrender. My owner gave me up due to having to suddenly move to handle a family emergency and I wasn't allowed to go. I am completely house trained and know basic commands. I love to play fetch and I'd be a great running or jogging companion for someone. I should be the only male dog in my home. I seem to ignore cats. Because of my nervousness around some people, it's recommended that I go to a home without small kids. I act more timid around males than females but do warm up.

A Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier Mix is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.
Hi, my name is Sparky. I'm a 2 1/2 year old Jack Russel and Chihuahua mix. I weigh less than 20 pounds and have energy like the Energizer bunny! I would be best with older kids only because I am overly eager to grab treats from hands and may accidentally nip a young child. I do well with other dogs and seem afraid of cats. I was transferred from another shelter where I was turned in as a stray. It's unknown if I'm house trained. I should be crated when left alone to keep me out of trouble. My favorite thing to do is to play fetch so I hope my new family likes to play, too!
