Work will affect both northbound and southbound traffic in the Brighton Area.
Single-lane closures on U.S. 23 in the Brighton area are scheduled to begin Friday at 8 p.m. for both the northbound and southbound part of the highway, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. The lane closures will occur on U.S. 23 over the Huron River. The closure is needed so crews can do emergency concrete bridge patching on the bridge deck along southbound U.S. 23. Lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday.
