Conceptual Phase Completed by The River Church

The River Church will still need approval on two more phases before construction can begin.

Representatives from The River Church presented their conceptual plans to the Hartland Township Board of Trustees Tuesday night and answered questions from the board. The community church currently meets at the Hartland Educational Support Service Center and is looking to build on 75 acres of land between Hacker and Cullen Roads.  Plans were presented to the board that included parking for 400 and a seating capacity of more than 800 in an auditorium designed to highlight the church’s services or “experiences” that include music and light shows.  The River Church still has two more phases to complete before receiving their final approval to being construction. Hartland Church Has Initial Site Plans Approved for New Location

The River hopes to start construction on their new church beginning this summer.

After more than 10 years serving the community, The River Church, which currently meets at the Hartland Educational Support Service Center, has completed the first step in their efforts to begin construction on a new church in Hartland. Located on 75 acres of land between Hacker and Cullen Roads the church's director of operations Mark Freego said that the organization is hoping to be able to start construction this summer. With a square footage of more than 38,000 feet, Freego said the larger space would be able to better accommodate their growing ministry. “We’re excited and I think it’s going to be a real benefit to the community,” Freego said. Don, sorry to disagree with you but I would rather see a subdivision there. The town would receive more taxes by homeowners than a church. And homeowners like trees on their property. Agree to disagree.   more ›
