I totally agree with you Responsible Adult. It is finally good to see someone stand up to her. I know when she was at Ore Creek too she made darn sure that those students took responsibility for their actions, up to and including threatening calling the police over $1.50 piece of pizza and suspension at an activity night because a student was giving food away. A statement from Hartland Consolidated Schools regarding whether the district will settle a lawsuit or go to trial with former Creekside Elementary principal Tracey Sahouri is expected on Thursday, according to the Press & Argus. On April 22, the Board of Education had a closed session meeting to discuss the possible settlement. Hartland Superintendent Janet Sifferman said the outcome of the meeting would not be released until early May, however, due to the fact that case evaluations must be kept confidential for a required period of time. “The record of acceptance or rejection of case evaluations is to be kept confidential for 28 days after the actual evaluation,” Sahouri said. Hartland Consolidated Schools' Board of Education will discuss a possible settlement with former Principal Tracey Sahouri in a closed session Monday night, according to the Press & Argus. Superintendent Janet Sifferman told the Press & Argus that it is just a discussion and she doubts any action will be taken that night. Hartland Schools, Former Principal May Agree to $525K Settlement

Tracey Sahouri and the Hartland Consolidated Schools district have until the end of the month to agree to the deal.

Tracey Sahouri, former principal of Creekside Elementary School and former vice principal of Hartland High School, is suing the Hartland Consolidated Schools district over circumstances involving her reassignment as a study-skills and special-education teacher. She could receive $525,000 in a proposed settlement of her lawsuit against the district, according to an article in the Livingston Daily.  The nonbinding settlement was proposed after a pretrial alternative dispute-resolution hearing April 3 in Genesee County, the article said. Sahouri Wins Settlement Against Argentine Township, Police Officer

Former Creekside principal will receive $150,000 settlement.

Former Creekside principal Tracey Sahouri has reached a settlement agreement with her lawsuit filed in January against Argentine Township and Officer Arch Ravert of the Argentine Police Department, according to court records from the Genesee County Circuit Court. The Press and Argus reports that Sahouri will receive a $150,000 settlement, which she calls a "vindication," according to the story. In July, 2011, Sahouri and her husband were ticketed for knowingly hosting a graduation party with underage drinking. The charges were dismissed in December with Sahouri filing a lawsuit shortly after claiming the charges were detrimental to her career and reputation. Tracey Sahouri Files New Allegations Against Hartland Schools

Former administrator claims Hartland schools "retaliated" over pending lawsuit.

Former Hartland High School vice principal Tracey Sahouri has filed new allegations in her lawsuit against Hartland schools regarding how she was removed from her vice principal position when she was placed on administrative leave in May. According to the Press & Argus, on June 14, Sahouri amended her complaint against Hartland Schools under the Whistleblower Protection Act claiming that she was kicked "out of her own office" as retaliation to her current lawsuit against Hartland schools which she filed in April. Press & Argus also reported that the complaint, filed in Genesee County Circuit Court, alleges district officials "angrily" removed her without allowing her to make any phone calls.  Sahouri was placed on administrative leave on …

Hartland High School Assistant Principal Placed on Administrative Leave

Tracey Sahouri is expected to return as a teacher for the 2012-13 school year.

Hartland Schools confirmed today that Tracey Sahouri, who has been an  assistant principal at Hartland High School since transferring from Creekside Elementary last November, has been placed on temporary administrative leave through the end of the school year. Training for the incoming staff was the reason for the decision, according to Superintendent Janet Sifferman. On Monday, the school board approved the hiring of new Hartland High School principal Ben Mainka and new assistant principal Kate Gregory, who will be replacing Sahouri next school year. Former Hartland Principal Suing School District

Tracey Sahouri has filed a lawsuit against Hartland Schools.

Former Creekside Elementary School principal Tracey Sahouri filed a lawsuit against Hartland Schools in the Genesee County Circuit Court seeking damages that “far exceed $100,000,” according to a report from the Press & Argus. On March 26, the Hartland school board voted 6-0 for the non-renewal of Sahouri’s administrative contract. Sahouri, who is currently a vice-principal at Hartland High School, was transferred in November after allegations that she mishandled the MEAP test during her time at Creekside.  In the lawsuit, which was filed on April 9, Sahouri is suing the school district for slander and libel, invasion of privacy and gross negligence and claiming the district "spoon-fed" information to the press with a "reckless disregard …

Hartland School Board Votes Not to Renew Tracey Sahouri's Contract

The decision will place the Hartland High School assistant principal in a classroom for the 2012-13 school year.

Members of the Hartland School Board voted 6-0 not to renew Tracey Sahouri's contract as an assistant principal at Hartland High School during a meeting Monday night. Treasurer Charlie Aberasturi was not in attendance. Sahouri's current agreement extends through June 30, 2013 and stipulates that Superintendent Janet Sifferman has the ability to place her in any role she deems necessary. On Monday, Sifferman asked the board that Sahouri be placed in a teaching position for the 2012-13 school year. "Mrs. Sahouri's administrative contract will run for one more year at which time other arrangements will be made for her employment," said Board President Kevin Kaszyca.
