Kaylee Lentz, Neighbor

I'm a junior at Eastern Michigan University studying journalism, photography and Spanish. I contribute articles to The Eastern Echo but before enrolling at EMU, I studied at Washtenaw Community College where I wrote for The Washtenaw Voice. It was there, that I became immensely passionate for the art of  journalism.

I have a long list of interests because I'm a fairly open-minded and fearless person but for the sake of keeping things brief, I mostly enjoy traveling. Ironically, I have only lived in one town my whole life (Howell) but perhaps that is why I'm so hungry for diversity. I guess I could say I'm happiest when I feel inspired by something or someone different from the norm.

When I travel, my camera goes everywhere with me. It's a future career interest but for now, mainly a hobby.

The pastime I adore most is scuba diving, although I don't get to do it nearly as much as I wish. To me, there's nothing better than drifting through the water gazing at the beautiful underwater world. Whenever I dive, I feel absolutely at ease. No worries. And that's how I prefer it.
