Wait Almost Over for Mikey's Burgers in Hartland

Target date for restaurant opening is August 15, according to owner of Mikey's Burgers.

Hartland residents will soon have their patience rewarded as the wait is almost over for Mikey's Burgers to move in to town.

Last May, store owners announced they would be expanding into the Hartland area this summer, moving in to the former Vietnamese Cafe location in the Waldenwoods Shopping Center.

According to store owner Mike Donn, the expected target date for the grand opening in Hartland is August 15 and residents should see some activity soon moving in to the space.

"We filed for the sign permit this week," Donn said,"so hopefully in the next few weeks you'll see it go up."

Longtime friends and Howell natives, Big Mike and Little Mike – as they are known around town- opened the original Howell location three years ago and expanded into Brighton more than a year ago.

Growing up in the area, Donn said that expanding into the neighboring communities was a natural choice.

The local burger place prides itself on custom-ordered burgers made just the way you like it and hand cut French fries.
