Hartland Man in Running for 'Best Dad on Wheels' Contest

When Bryan Wilkinson met his wife eleven years ago, the Hartland resident had already lost the use of his legs from a dirt bike accident just a year before.

The paralysis and wheelchair wasn’t enough to stop the young couple from falling in love and starting their life together.

Now, the husband and father of a two-year-old daughter, is currently a finalist for the “Best Dad on Wheels” contest sponsored by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which looks to honor amazing dads living with paralysis.

Nominated by his mother-in-law, Gina Keough explains that her son-in-law is a devoted father to “the most beautiful, charming little girl.”

“He plays monster washcloth with her among other games, takes care of her, dotes on her, as well takes her to the doctor and performs any other "Dad" duty when it calls,” Keough wrote in her contest submission.
