Hartland Township Seeks Community Input on New Park

Hartland Township will host two community meetings at Kahuna Coffee this June inviting residents to share their ideas for Settlers Park.

Bringing outdoor trails and a sledding hill to Hartland, phase one construction is currently underway on Settlers Park and should be completed this fall.

Seeking input from the community regarding phase two of the project, Hartland Township is looking for suggestions on future additions to the park.

Two informal meetings will take place in June where residents are welcome to attend and meet with Public Works Director Bob West and Township Supervisor Bill Fountain to share their ideas.

The meetings will take place at Kahuna Coffee on June 20 at 9:30 a.m. and June 26 at 6 p.m, according to the township's Facebook page.

One suggestion made in a previous Hartland Patch story came from Howard Perkins who suggested the addition of a dog park “to let their pets run and get exercise.”
